Maurice became an inmate locked in the Georgia Penal System following the completion of a federal prison bid for greater white-collar activities. He discovers and puts to use the "gift of gab" with savvy articulation, sincere charisma, and a well thought out, undetected, financial scheme from the confines and restraints of the inside.

Through his quest to manipulate the powers that be as never before, Maurice manages to entice and seduce an African-American female Warden who he works for as an aide. Ms. Serena Minor becomes a major participant in the fraudulent scam he masterminds and eventually falls for him and his wit, becoming the mother-to-be of his unborn child.

Maurice was in need of a for sure way to raise capital and to establish legitimate business ventures once he was set free and reentered society. Serena on the other hand, was desperate for love and male companionship that held the potential to blossom into something lasting, perhaps marriage if all worked out. Together, the Warden-inmate duo combined forces for the good of each other and the world at large.
