As a young teenager I recall seeing Floyd Patterson fight numerous times. I always felt he was a little light to be a true heavy weight; nevertheless, his fantastic boxing skills and speed in the ring was a joy to watch. Like many, I cheered when he had a rematch with Igmar Johanson and knocked him out to win back his heavy weight title. This excellent book explains the equipment required to learn boxing, the basic training methods, how to move, how to throw the jab, cross, hook and uppercut. This is an excellent introduction into the art of boxing. In conclusion, this book combined with training with a boxing coach will be of great value to anyone interested in learning how to box. Rating: 5 Stars for historical its historical value. Joseph J.
