Point the first finger within...

We live in a world that says it is ok to look at how our spouse, significant other, friend, relative is not meeting our needs. Is not fulfilling us, is not loving us. Jane Hansen takes us to where we first need to be--looking inside ourselves. Looking at our past, but not to blame others, but to learn from where we have made unconscious decisions that have framed our future. Jane shares her growing up years and touches on her husband's growing up years and how they both formulated ideas on how life should be as far as getting needs met, feeling loved, etc. More than anything, Jane makes it so clear as to how our worth comes first from God alone. No one on this earth is ever going to do it perfectly for us. In God first, do we have our value. We are looking for love in all the wrong places. "Love is openness, honesty and trust." Jane writes. And forgiveness and mercy play a huge part. If this book is read in a sincere, searching mode, one cannot help but be the better for it.
