Great Beginner Book...

This book was great for a beginner in the Information Technology degree path. It breaks out principals simply, and in a way that's easy to understand for the average reader. The chapters are medium in length and I found them easy to read. I had to order this book for ITS101, that I'm taking in order to gain my degree. I felt the book was easy to read and a great source of information, even though I have over 15 years of IT experience.

I recieved the book fairly quick and there were no problems with it. I am pleased with the book.

Good overview, great graphics

I bought book at a thrift shop for $1 just to skim. It provides a good overview of computer technology and software, with extensive graphics and case studies. Most of the info was so basic I didn't learn much. However, the database chapters were good and helped me prepare for an MBA course on the topic. The book would be a good choice for a gen ed "intro to computers" course, a high school class, or for anyone who wants a good overview of current technology.
