I am only in to chapter 10, but I find it is very good. A “can not put down” book. Looking now at other book that the writer has been involved in writing. What is nice is that I only paid 50 cent for it at my public library. I will pass it on. Once a Marine

Very well written and detailed book!

I was in the navy for 6 years, never went on a boat though, but was still very interested in this book. Never remember learning about this ship in school. This book is incredibly well detailed. They include perspectives from many different people including the enemy. Very good book to learn about an important time in naval history.

I could not put it down

The amount of emotions that this book stirred... wow! I shared my copy with a few others who also agreed that this is a must-read. This book is the whole story, very detailed, and keeps the reader enthralled. You should read and share the copy with a Navy veteran or person who is interested in naval &/or WWII history.
