Great Historical Account

This is a magnificent chronicle of the not very-well-known Spokane War of 1858. Written in 1859 the author was an officer in the 3rd Artillery who participated in the campaign and gives a day-to-day account of the war. LT Kip was an eye witness to the majority of the events and he writes in a manner that puts you there in the middle of the action and his descriptions of the Battles of Four Lakes and Spokane Plains are first rate. Also included in the book are the Official Reports of the battles by COL Wright, the commander of the Army forces involved and an extract from Army General Orders for the year outlining the campaign overall. I highly recommend this book to all.
