A great resource for those beginning the planning process

There are tremendous resources all over the internet to educate yourself about long term care. But there is nothing like a great book that you can pick up anytime and find out information that you need as you move down the path to important decisions. Unlike many other resources, Gordon makes the critical distinction between the risk of long term care and the consequences of long term care. Think of it this way. If you were 45 years old, married with two children, and working full time in a rewarding career, you wouldn't dream of not owning life insurance to protect your family. You love them, and that's what you do when you love someone. Of course, the risk of you dying at this young age is very small, but the consequences to your family are so devastating that it is an issue you can't ignore. The premise of the book is dead-on, and then proceeds to educate the reader about the complexity of the issue in such a way as to make it easy and logical.
