Creeping bugs and wiggling worms, splashing rain and glittering stars--nobody notices the details of the world around them more than children--and artists. Take a walk with bestselling picture book... This description may be from another edition of this product.
The natural wonders of the planet are celebrated in sing-song narrative and some brightly-colored cut-out shapes to create an incredible kaleidoscope of color and nature. Through Ehlert's signature simplicity he makes a gentle-but-vibrant testimony of his already-obvious love for the natural world. This is an excellent book that is as much fun to play with as it is to read.

I work at a library and I borrowed this book from the library. I now have to purchase it for him. When I told him that I was going to take it back to the library he threw a fit NO NO NO!!!!! This book is now in our home library collection. At the end of the book the author uses all of the symbols in the book in a short story. He is only 21 monthes and knows all of the symbols that appear on the that last page of the book. I don't especiall care for the choice of cut-out design chosen for the flower or the fruit but he seems to know what it is.
