My favorite Ruth Ware book to date!!

I absolutely could not put this book down!!

Read in one sitting

I've read The Woman in Cabin 10, also by Ruth Ware. This book was by far creepier and more psychologically terrifying. I literally couldn't put it down.

Predictable

I'm an avid reader of mystery/thriller novels and this was way too slow of a build and I knew who the bad guy was as soon as they described that particular character.

Edge of my seat.

Do not read close to bedtime...

Thought it was going to be like "10 Little Indians/And Then There Were None". Glad I was wrong.

Good Read. Not as scary as I'd hoped, but still enjoyed it.

Kind of underwhelming

I may have been expecting too much from this book but it wasn't much of a thriller. Ruth Ware is a great writer so over all the book does keep you in it. The ending is also very predictable.

It's got everything!

Fast read with twists and turns that keep you guessing-and delivers!

Pass on this one

Not one character was likable enough to care at all what happened to them. The writing was long, boring and went nowhere. I don’t like putting books down even if I’m frustrated with them… I believe in sucking it up and finishing them. This was so incredibly bad, and super predictable. I couldn’t wait to just be finished with. I read a review that compared it to Gone Girl. That’s a perfect comparison and this one is just as pointless if a book.

Second book of Ruth Ware's I have read

I enjoyed this book more than "The Woman in Cabin 10". I liked the first book, but, I could relate a little more to this one. Lots of twists and turns with much suspense. Not a scary book, but a quick read with all the suspense, needed to find out what was going to happen next. Being a British writer, her style and language is unique which is fun to read. I would recommend this and her other novels as good, entertaining reads!

Love Ruth Ware

This book was a good read! I feel like Ruth Wares books are easy to follow, easy to predict.. but I did not see the ending coming in this book. It is full of twists and leaves you suspecting everyone!

Interesting but predictable

While Ware gives hints to the end throughout, it is a little more predictable than I would have liked. The overall story was compelling but there are definitely parts where it dragged. It’s a pretty easy read.

in a dar, dark wood

OOOOOOHHHH MAN what a fantastic book!!

Stephen King who??

This book, which I read in 1 day, left me up all night. Terrified. I can't say that any book has ever kept me up just from sheer terror

Great Book

I really enjoyed this book. There's a few slow parts, but for the most part, I stayed hooked. It was hard to put it down once I really got into it.

one of the best books i’ve read this year

if you’re thinking about buying it, just go for it. amazing book, had to force myself to go to bed and stop reading this.

Great book!

Great book! A little slow in the beginning, but it is most definitely worth the read.

Love

Fast paced leaves you guessing

Well developed and engaging.

This book will carry you swiftly down the river of suspense. some parts seem disjointed until you are brought artfully into the light. I was engaged throughout. very recommended read.

In a dark, dark wood

I thought this was a good fast read and really enjoyed it.

Predictable and bland

Every second I wasted on this book was a waste. The writing was dry, the plot was ridiculously predictable and it felt like the author was trying to push her unnecessary opinions.

Could Not Put It Down!

This book was EXCELLENT. My very first book I’ve ever read by Ruth Ware and it was amazing. Kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the main character. I love her style of writing.

One of the best books I've read in a while

I loved this book. The pace was great, the suspense felt real, and it kept me guessing the whole way through what was going to happen! I got this one from a recommendation from a friend and I encourage anyone else to read it!

Love Ruth Ware’s writing!

Got it because I like her other books. Still reading and so far so good!

Very suspenseful with a great setting!

Very fun read. The setting is very cool and it really plays well building up the suspense. It has unexpected twists and turns that had me guessing til the very end. I also read The Woman in Cabin 10 which was very suspenseful as well. I just ordered her third novel The Lying Game so I guess I really like Ruth Ware. Another thing I like about her boooks is that there are a lot of women characters the men are just in the background 😀

A great read

I really hope they continue to follow through with their plans to make this book a movie because let me tell you it is a page turner. This book gave me goosebumps and took me on a very interesting ride. At first the book is very slow, but hang in there because it gets very good and you will find yourself unable to put the book down trying to figure out what happened. A young woman waking up to find out she caused an accident, but having no memory of what happened. Read along as she tries to find out what really happened on that fateful trip.

Suspenseful to the end

If you are looking for a well written story with twists and turns, this is the book for you. Ruth Ware does a fantastic job with details and plot twists. I never wanted to put it down. Rumors of a movie, which I think will be amazing!

Garbage

I don’t usually, or ever in fact, write negative book reviews but this one stuck in my side like a thorn. I was excited by the positive reviews and eager to get in to a good suspense story. Turns out the only suspense I felt was how long until this book finally ended. The main character is flat and boring. Spending her entire life butthurt over a high school ex that dumped her via text. As an adult woman, she still isn’t over it. She goes to an event that she desperately doesn’t want to go to. Then stays there even though she desperately wants to leave. I good portion of the book is spent discussing how scary a shotgun hanging on the wall is, (mind you they are staying in a cabin in the woods..). However they hardy bash an eye when they deside to dish out some cocain and take shots of tequila. (Spoilers) Finally when the “love of her life” dies and she solves his murder in the stupidest way possible, the story ends with her accepting a date from some man, giving her life a new hope... in the form of a date with a dude. Wow I hated this book.

A book you cant put down

I bought this awhile back but every time i see it on my shelf i remember how i could never put it down impatient to read the next chapter.

It was ok

The book was slow at first, but towards the middle I couldn’t put it down. I figured out what happened before I read the end. Overall it’s a good read. Not scary at all.

great book

really enjoyed the suspense of the book. i previously read ruth ware's the woman in cabin 10 and that was equally as good

💞 it

This is a great book, if you're interested or thinking about buying this book then buy it because it's worth the $ 4.00 to read.

Excellent plot!

This one will grab from the get go! The beauty of this tale is the reader's ability to imagine any number of plot twists as the story evolves. Sadly, I it had a bit of a weak finish. I felt a bit cheated after being swept along.

Twisted!

Anxiety at its best!

Kept me at the edge of my seat, could not put it down!

This book was amazing! There were so many unexpected plot twists, and I loved that I was unable to g

A Quick Read

I enjoyed the book, I finished it in one sitting. I didn't find it 'scary' at all as some readers have described. I found it to be entertaining but sort of had it figured out before the end. It was a fun, quick read.

you need it in your bookshelf

Very good read!!

A great book could not put it down until finished
