Captivating!!

I absolutely loved this timeless vampire romance! I found it to be so cute and i loved the plot of the characters and how the relationship was set up and their backgrounds of them. I truly got lost in the story and there was so many cute moments where the vampire was of course super sexy and sensual beyond belief my incredibly adorable. When forced to put the book down to go on with life and other tedious errands i couldnt stop thinking the story and waiting to get back to it and thinking about the masculine sexy Jason Rourke every second. I would have finished the book sooner if it had not been for repeated rereading pages and phrases the characaters said. Its a very orignal story and truly a romantic adventure. Its truly a great read if you want to read about some steamy sensual vampires which Amanda Ashley truly nails in this story. It was truly an adventure delving into this book and after finishing i immediatlely went out to buy more of her books. Not to give to much away i must say this book will have you saying "wow" and "oh my god" from the sensual overload of the vampire. I definitely recommend this book!

Another wonderful adventure from Mandy..

I have to say I did not ready any reviews of this book before I bought it.. And I am so glad that I didnt because it seems to me many on here have been rather harsh to this book, of which I totally disagree with . I am a huge fan and feel that this book had a fun story that was unlike many of the other "vampire" books that I have been reading . I love how she made her vampire depend upon the herione to become part of the living once again. Once he got there he still had to continue to need her rather than the typical needy heroine . I felt that this book was just as amazing as any out there right now . Maybe there was not as much sex in this book but for god sakes grow up a little if all you want is nothing but screwing through the book maybe they should have been reading a different author . Amanda Ashley's books take the reader to an emotional height and the reader can figure out the rest, she doesn't need to spell it out for us, this is one of the reason why I love her so much she makes us use our imagination. Her story was an orginal and I read this book in probably 2 nights of reading.. I highly suggest that if you enjoy a great supernnatural love story then go read this one!

super urban romantic fantasy

Every night after work Karinna Adams visits the Underwood Art gallery as she is drawn to a painting "Man Walking in the Moonlight" by renowned artist Josef Vilinus. During every visit the man seems to be somewhere else in the picture as if he walks around the landscape. This time she hears him speak "help me"; frightened she flees. Jason Rourke has roamed the landscape of the Vilinus painting for three centuries. Three hundred years ago Vilinus the wizard cursed him for taking his virgin daughter Ana; he also sent Ana inside another painting. Jason knows there are two ways he can be freed: a mortal female calling him to come to her or the wizard's death. Kari takes the painting home with her to see if she might want to buy it. The next night Kari dreams of the man in the picture making love to her; Jason dreams of his fangs dining on her throat as he is a vampire who looks forward to tasting the sweetness of her blood. When she wishes he was real, the painting falls and the glass shatters. Jason is freed and Vilinus knows it. Jason tells her he is a vampire who was cursed and about Ana still trapped. Jason explains to Kari he needs her help to rescue Ana who is trapped in a Romanian museum. She agrees to help him although she struggles with falling in love with a vampire. The lead couple is a strong pairing and the support cast is solid while the heroine's doubts about crossing over to become a vampire add tension between them especially enhanced by another coupling. Jason adapts nice and slow to the modern age. Although the confrontation is not quite as dramatic as the rest of this super urban romantic fantasy, fans will enjoy the vampire who fell from the painting into love. Harriet Klausner

Loved it!

I totally disagree with the last two reviewers. I have read all of Amanda Ashley's books and I think she is a wonderful and talented author and one of my favorites to read. I really enjoyed Immortal Sins and thought she did a marvelous job with her characters. Not only were her characters interesting but the whole story kept me entertained throughout. I genuinely liked both Jason and Kari and I felt she described Kari's emotions very well. I could understand and sympathize with her dilemma about Jason and feel his frustration over how to deal with her fears. I most certainly did not find anything boring about the story and I don't understand how anyone can do a review if they don't bother to finish the book. As far as her writing being choppy, it did not feel that way to me at all nor was it lame. I read this book from beginning to end and felt it was well written and very entertaining and I highly recommend it.
