Somewhere between being Wonder Woman and wondering what's wrong with you is a greater reality: God created you to be a wonderful woman. Instead of trying to live up to an unrealistic role, best-selling author Sheila Walsh invites you to take off your cape and boots, set aside your crumpled suit, and discover the authentic woman, beloved and valued by God. In this book, Sheila helps you understand that in God's eyes, you are already a beautiful and creative woman. Heartfelt and delightful, I'm Not Wonder Woman will encourage, inspire, and challenge you. Discover the real you, embrace life, and celebrate the joy of being a wonderful woman!
I have read hundreds of books, and I have been immersed in numerous Christian books, especially those aimed at women. Sheila Walsh's Wonder Woman book touched me like no book has since I read Captivating (my other favorite by Staci Elderidge.) Her book is so uplifting, and does not place a heavy burden of guilt and shame on the reader for what they aren't. Instead, it gives tremendous freedom and peace for who God has made them to be, and the love he has for each person just as they are. The book is fun to read with personal examples, and touches many aspects of a Christian woman's life. I let my mom read this after I was done, and she said it was her favorite book she has ever read, and wants to read it a second time.

For those of us who are recovering control freaks, this book is a must read. Sheila is both compassionate (having been there herself) and theologically sound.

I'm Not Wonder Woman

I love this book and it is NOT just for Mothers! I have never been able to have children and this book spoke directly to me. Most women I know want to be able to do it ALL and find themselves stressed out and feeling inadequate. This wonderful book (no pun intended) relates to our desires to be Wonder Woman AND to the faliures we experience at trying. Sheila gently reminds us that God unconditionally loves us and that our failures and frustration come from our childhood experiences and/or trying to live up to society's expectations. Sheila has helped me to put in perspective what matters to God and realize that IS all that really matters. Buy this book, It's Wonderful! :-)
