Book Overview

What is Clare Wingate doing? One minute she's suffering in a pretty-in-pink gown she'll never wear again, and the next thing she knows it's morning . . . and she has the nastiest hangover of her life. To make matters worse, she's wearing nothing but a spritz of Escada and lying next to Sebastian Vaughan . . . her girlhood crush turned sexy, globe-hopping journalist. Somewhere between the toast and the toss of the bouquet she'd gotten herself into...

Rather boring

The first in this series was very entertaining, but this one was just boring. I kept waiting for a plot to materialize or some witty dialogue, but No, nothing. Not even engaging characters- actually I wanted to slap them most of the time!

Rachel is a fun and realistic author, I highly recommend her books!

Im not sure what people are looking for but this woman is an amazing modern day romance writer. I love how she portrays the male characters, they are how real men think, speak and react (without being raunchy). I find myself laughing out loud often and I have almost read all of her books. The female characters are just as human too. I think I love her writings because I can actually see these thing happening. I think Rachel is just verbally creative and funny. I never knew these kinds of books existed till the day I bought THIS book on a whim. Now I am hooked! I would love to see the people that have criticized her books so harshly, do better. In a world where everyone is taking themselves and love way too seriously--we need books like this to lighten up things. If you are looking for a funny look at love and the crazy things we do when we are in love......then I highly recommend ALL of Rachel's books! oh and I really like how she connects the books together.

Better than the critics think!

The critic who wrote the review to this book must be a man or something like it. This book is fun and not full of blood, guts and gore. It does dig into the reality of relationships. Both the main characters are well developed and so are some of the secondaries. Don't let a nay-say keep you from enjoying a well-thought out book about relationships. People really do and say the things in this book. Nothing wrong with a little self-evaluation in one's own life as to why this book must upset the nayers.

Great Story

I was surprised when I read the other reviews as this book was one of the best romantic stories I have read in quite awhile. I did think that the ending was a little abrupt, but the storyline to get there was captivating. I read the entire book within about 7 hours of starting - I couldn't put it down. I read a lot of romance and I would recommend this book.

Rachel Gibson does it again

I'm In No Mood For Love by Rachel Gibson is a delight from page one. It's funny, sexy and moving. Clare Wingate tried to put on a happy face at her friends wedding. But she can't get the image of finding her fiancé with another man out of her mind. Clare decides to tie one on and wakes up in bed with Sebastian Vaughan her childhood crush. Something about Sebastian brings out the sultry side in Clare. After the disastrous end to her engagement she thinks a fling just might be the thing she needs. Award winning journalist Sebastian is home to visit with his estranged father. He wasn't expecting to rescue old buddy Clare. Sebastian thinks too a fling would be a perfect fit with his globe trotting life style. These tow think they are in no mood for love but fate has a few tricks up its sleeves. I'm In No Mood For Love continues the story started in Sex, Lies and Online Dating. It was a treat to reconnect with Clare and her writer friends. This book will stay with you long after you finish, the chemistry and emotions tug at your soul. I can't wait to see what is up with the next friend

Rachel Gibson Rocks with another Winner

I have to respectfully disagree with all the naysayers about I'm In No Mood For Love. Maybe they didn't get it, but I loved it!!! Clare writes steamy historical romances and Sebastian is a roving journalist for magazines like NEWSWEEK. They've known each other since childhood, but hadn't seen each other since they were pre-teens, despite the fact that his father works for Clare's mother. When a story has me smiling and chuckling throughout, then it's an outstanding read for me. From the first opening pages to the end, I'M IN NO MOOD FOR LOVE had me grinning. Clare has a nice career as a romance author even if it embarrasses her mother. Too bad her love life isn't as successful, especially when she finds out her fiancé is actually gay. Waking up in bed with Sebastian is one of Clare's most embarrassing moments, though she had a good reason to drink herself under the table. Her biggest supporters are her friends and author colleagues, Lucy, Maddie, and Adele, who provide for some lively banter throughout I'M IN NO MOOD FOR LOVE. Clare tells herself she won't get involved with Sebastian, but her body has other ideas. He's charming, handsome and they get along...some of the time. I loved the romance, though it took place over a period of time before they said 'I Love You' and readers will know before Clare and Sebastian do. I'M IN NO MOOD FOR LOVE is chockfull of entertaining characters besides Clare and Sebastian. Sebastian's father has never let the fact that he rarely sees his son make him angry and Clare's mother, a pillar of Boise's high society, wants to pretend Clare writes women's fiction. Lucy, Maddie and Adele are there to support Clare as she goes through the ups and downs of life. Clare and Sebastian will capture the hearts of readers as they fall in love despite the obstacles of long distance. I'M IN NO MOOD FOR LOVE is another well-written, funny and entertaining story from the pen of Rachel Gibson that showcases her awesome talent and will leave you smiling.
