A good time

I'm what Karo would call a boring sober married person, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's hilarious all the way through. I think it should be required reading for all women, as it actually offers some incredibly entertaining and valuable insights about the illusive single male. In addition to being well written, this book is easy to pick up and put down (although you won't want to put it down) because it has short and easy to digest chapters. The hilarious sidebars throughout the book keep it fresh and exciting. This book guarantees a lot of laughs and a good time.

Hilarious- Favorite book of 2009!

If a book can make me laugh out loud, it's a keeper. If you've ever felt down about not being engaged/married, not having a wedding date, or just playing the dating game in general, this is a must-read. You will never feel that way again. Karo's take on marriage, his adventures in hookups & dating, and his creative vocabulary is clever, witty, and original. Instead of a card, all of my friends are getting copies of this book attached to their wedding gifts, just as a friendly "I'm Having More Fun Than You" reminder. My boyfriend, however, will not be reading this. Ever.

3rd Book, Still a Charm

I fist discovered Aaron Karo as a college sophomore when I picked up "Ruminations on College Life" at Barnes and Noble. I was instantly addicted to Karo's voice and perspective. His second book was equally as entertaining and, as his observations did in the first book, they held true to life. In his third book, "I'm Having More Fun Than You", Karo keeps it fresh and establishes himself as the man's answer to Carrie Bradshaw giving us the perspective of the perpetually single man. "I'm Having More Fun Than You" is humorous and honest, fun and funny, and is sure to be enjoyed by anyone who doesn't take life or themselves too seriously.

Still laugh-out-loud funny

First of all, I just finished the book at 1am on Friday night. I was planning on drinking some beers and knocking down a few chapters before going out, but couldn't put the damn thing down, and never made it out of my apartment. There were at least 5 or 6 moments where I had to grab my Blackberry and e-mail high school/college friends short passages that seemed to be written about us. When it comes down to it, I think one of the biggest reasons I love the book is that I'm a couple years younger and went through similar steps in life: grew up in the northeast, joined a fraternity, stayed close to my high school friends I care about, and moved to CA. Going out to the bars, maintaining friendships across the country, and having to fly to weddings are all very familiar territory for me, and he is able to find the subtle comedic aspects of each that made me laugh out loud like an idiot, and have a great time doing it. What keeps me coming back to Karo's writing is that he's able to chronicle and convey stories (some of which brought back very fond, albeit hazy, memories of college and my relationships with friends who are getting married) that tell you a lot about him without becoming long-winded and self-important. I've been reading Ruminations since I was a junior in high school back in 1999, and I somehow convinced my girlfriend to read a few columns and agree to going to his stand-up show here in SF next month. There are books that I personally enjoy reading, and then there are the books that I get excited recommending to other people, and I'm Having More Fun Than You is definitely the latter.

A Must read!!

While I am not a big reader, I picked up this book and could not put it down! Aaron does an amazing job at relating to anyone who's living or lived the ever-entertaining years between college and that marriage thing. His tales are hilarious and fresh... and I just worry that he's helped the many ladies out there understand how us guys really think. Looking forward to more of his work.. i highly suggest picking this book up soon, you will not be disappointed.
