Loved the book!

I bought this book for a children's lit. class and I have to say I am so glad I got it. My son is 2, which is another reason I picked this one out of a list, and he loves it too. He loves tractors or anything of the sort and this is just right up his ally. And the illustrations are great, the book is worded so that you sound out noises, and there is some counting in it too. Highly recommended!

Fun

We got this for my son after we got "I Stink" He loves it! It is a fun book that teachs counting from one to ten. In in a dirty boy like manner.

Who's making all that noise?

Who's making all that noise? It's heavy equipment, moving dirt and counting down what is being cleaned up. Boys especially in grades 2-4 will find it a fun and easy read pairing noisy descriptions perfect for read-aloud with the story of a busy piece of equipment that gets dirty in the process of cleaning up.

I'm Dirty is dirty and delicious!

My 3 year old grandson simply adores does this as does his -- year old grandmother! A fun read - has humor - holds your interest - and yes - you even learn numbers and something about how the city picks up its' garbage. Have fun!

Revving up for a little Messy Fun!

This is a very basic picture book. I'm not familiar with the Authors previous work...but I thought this one was fairly well done. It's basic and probably best used as a read aloud book for younger kids (ages 1-4, I think would enjoy this best). It's short and full of colorful, descriptive language... the enthusiasm of the backhoe is catching and he sure does love his work...his VERY MESSY work! Readers and listeners alike are treated to a romp in the muck as this little guy cleans up a dirty lot. We even get some counting in, as he counts down from 10 to 1 cleaning up everything in the lot! The individual items are delineated enough in the art work for young readers to count out how many themselves as you go along...plus there are some silly items in there that will make young readers giggle too! My listeners also enjoyed making all the revving and roaring noises of the backhoe along with the story! This is a fun mix of education and just plan old vibrant fun! The art work matches the enthusiasm of the story with vibrant color pictures that have a slightly cartoonish feel to them! If you don't mind getting silly with the voices and sound effects, this book can be great fun for younger readers, I'd recommend it without hesitation. I'm Dirty gets a solid A from me!
