Great Book to Prepare Your Daughter for a new baby!

I really like this book b/c it's a positive way to prepare your daughter for a new baby. The main character's name is Ellie, which happens to be my daughter's name, so that was a plus! It leaves the new baby's gender up to interpretation, so this will work for baby brothers or sisters.

Best "Big Sister" book out there...

My 2-year-old was given this book as a gift during my pregnancy. It is a great book for a little girl who is going to become a big sister. The story of Elie and her new (gender neutral) baby sibling is fun, and informative. I really felt that it helped prepare my daughter for what it would be like to have a baby around the house, and helped to give ideas for what she could do to be a good big sister. I also liked that it pointed out the benefits of being big, even when everyone is making such a big deal of the baby. A lot of my friends who have two kids have looked at this book while at my house, and all of them agree that they wish they'd had it for their daughters before having their second child. They all seem to have had other books about being a big sister, and said this one is by far the best they've seen.
