A Dazzling Historical Novel

A depression era historical novel set in Chicago in 1934. The protagonist, Joe, a gay teenager navigates a queer world thirty-five years before Stonewall. The book is written for the Young Adult but anyone who enjoys historical fiction will appreciate this page turner. I especially enjoyed the attention to authentic depression era details right down to the dialogue.
