whimsical illustrations, reassuring bedtime message

This book has whimsical illustrations of a little boy getting ready for bed at the end of the day. His mother reassures him that the night is not scary but rather a 'blanket' that helps the earth to sleep. Through poetic language and sweet illustrations, he gets ready for bed. The end refrain is the title: "I'll see you in the morning" after a good night's sleep. A great bedtime book for toddlers and preschoolers.

An essential part of the bedtime ritual.

My two and a half year old and I love, love, love, this book. We read it every night as the very last part of our bedtime routine. Sometimes, she reads it to me since at this point she has it memorized. It is just a lovely book. The illustrations are wonderful and the text reads like a lullaby...gentle and reassuring. A perfect, perfect bedtime book.

Gorgeous Book

This is really a beautiful book. Wonderfully illustrated. The story itself is peaceful and lilting. My 1 1/2 year old MUST be read this book each night; we spend a lot of time pointing and gazing at the stars and other cosmic beauties. It's a great book!

great lullaby

This is such a loving and comforting story about how you will always be there to protect your little one as they sleep through the night. The rhymes are good, the illustrations are soft and reassuring, just like the words themselves. I read this with my two year old and we both enjoy it together immensely.

A bedtime ritual

I have a slightly different version of this book - it has a picture of a little boy hugging the moon instead of the boy and his mother on the cover. It is a sweet bedtime ritual, with just the right amount of text on each page in a flowing rhyme style that children will soon learn off by heart. I would recommend this book for children 2 - 6 years of age, especially children with fears of the dark or monsters or of just being alone at bedtime. I was very impressed with the cover of this book, there is no dust jacket to get torn and neither is it made of cardboard that would soon get creased with use. The poem ends with the promise of "...and I'll see you in the morning".
