Il Etait Une Fois (Once Upon a Time)

I'm an adult wanting to learn French the way children learn their first language. This book has 3 stories, The Little Red Hen, Goldilocks and The Boy and His Donkey. The first time I heard the cassette, I didn't understand "a" word. But I continued to listen and to look at the pictures and eventually I figured out the story. Because I was familiar with Goldilocks, I didn't use a dictionary to translate any of the text; on the otherhand, I used a dictionary for a few words for the other 2 stories--The Little Red Hen, and for The Boy and His Donkey. Today I understand the stories completely and I can hear the proper pronunciation in the back of my head when I read it to myself without the use of the cassette. I'd buy more of this series in a heartbeat were it available.
