Here's an invigorating dose of hope for overcoming demands of motherhood without feeling physically and emotionally drained. This description may be from another edition of this product.
As a mom of three children five and under, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was very entertaining and speaks in a "tone" that mom's can understand with a unique perspective. I recommend the book for mothers of all kinds, especially stay-at-home mom's, though I'm sure working moms may have some of the same sentiments. It speaks to some of the frustrations encountered while raising kids and served to refocus me on beneficial things.
All Women Are Basically Southern
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 20 years ago
Lindsey O'Connor confirmed what I have suspected for some time now--that all women have roots in the "south." Only it's not the south you think of with towering magnolia trees, it's the south of stress related to the towering responsibilities of marriage and motherhood. Lindsey "gets" the fact that women are often fatigued in every since of the word, but her faith in a God up North, so to speak, helps us gain the perspective we need to keep those downward turns to a minimum. I also found her take on modesty bold and refreshing--every church youth leader and Christian mother should read this book.
