Excellent book

This book looks at dieting from a demension usually not explored by other books. No focus on calories, fats, carbs, but instead, a mental challenge to find out why you eat what you eat and ways to motify or change these habits. I found the book well put together and well written.

Finally I have hope

I am a career dieter, so the last thing I needed was another menu plan to follow. What I needed was to change my way of thinking. Brooke Castillo has given me the tools that I needed. There are times that the words speak exactly what I feel. I have now bought 4 copies of the book to share, as well as the "coach in a box." I am confident and positive that I will be a thin person who takes care of herself. I get closer every day to that image. I can not urge anyone strongly enough to give themselves this book. To paraphrase Byron Katie (another great read whose work is referenced in this) It will change your life-- but only 100%!

Intelligent and motivating

Among the many diet and weight loss books published each year, this is one that provides a realistic and effective program for changing your thinking about eating and dieting. Some of the book is about feelings, some of the book is about goal setting, some of the book is about self management and some of the book is about eating itself. While there are questions to write about, it is not just a book of self awareness exercises. The book explains a viewpoint that frees you from old habits of thinking related to food as well as your feelings about yourself. The process described helps you examine the deeper reasons it is hard to regulate yourself in any area of your life.

Great Book

This is a great book. I have referred friends to it. The first day I was only able to read 30 pages and learned A LOT just in those 30 pages. Simple ideas, but put into action, my friend and I each lost 4 lbs the first week. And we've walked for an hour every day for a year and a half, gone to the gym. But it was a simple change of eating fuel food when you are hungry.I am excited to continue eating like this to reach my goal weight. Love the book!

This book is great!

Hello Folks, I have first hand experience with Brooke's program, having been her client for 4 months last year and having read the book. Brooke is more than a coach; she is an amazing, rockin', healing, intuitive wonder. She has her finger on the pulse of where its at with weight loss; where we have socially evolved to and if you do what she says, you will succeed, no ifs ands or buts. She will support you every step of the way. I was so pleased to read her book and see how she was able to really capture the program so precisely in the book. Its a wonderful tool, full of her bright energy and power, and it will serve its users well. The work is deep and simple and real. Brooke will take you to where you want to go!
