This simple little essay on what an experienced minister would pass on to others is profound. Presented simply and directly, it touches so many important areas of pastoral work that I think it should be required reading for at least partially experienced ministers. Those freshly out of seminary or too young might not relate to some of his excellent points, because it takes a certain maturity to understand. But my favorite rule, that we are not in ministry to direct other's faith, but to love them into the kingdom of God, is central the teachings of Christ and too easily forgotten. Love it.
