Wise Words On Raising a Happy Family

There are many, many books available on how to help your family be happy. None that I know of are as concise, warm, insightful, and practical as Drescher's brief and readable book. Ten very short chapters give the reader very doable action-points for helping each member of the family be happier. What makes Drescher's use of the word "happy" unique and refreshing is that there is no sense of seeking happiness for self-serving purposes. He makes a wise and simple point: happy children grow up to be happy adults; mix in security, consistency, availability and attentiveness and you have a recipe for a happy family. If you could raise a family again, he'd find ways to make his wife and children more happy through serving them, listening to them, thinking of little ways to please them, doing more activities together, making more memories together, living out his prayers for them, and being a loving father to them like the One up above. I'm young enough I can start again...and it's likely it's not too late for you either.
