Helpful in orienting children to what life is like in Japan.

If you want your child to know what it's like being a child in Japan, this is a great reference. We are moving to Japan and I bought this book for my daughter because it contains common Japanese phrases (counting, months, greetings) that she needs to become familiar with. The colorful illustrations and rhyming phrases keep her attention and at the same time, reassure her that Japanese life (going to school, the park, playing) is not all that different than life in the U.S.
