Scott is Incredible

I haven't read this book yet, but I am willing to tell all of America and the world that Scott Fried is an excellent speaker with a wonderful message. Please try and get in touch with him, his e-mail address is Scottnyc@aol.com. He is an incredible man with a great voice.

A LIFETIME EDUCATION IN ONE BOOK.

I had the amazing opportunity to meet Scott Fried a few weeks ago at a convention. His story told through his lecture changed my life since it hit so close to home. I've had to face the challenges of coping with the loss of someone very close to me to AIDS. I had a 15 minute conversation with Scott in which he gave me so much confidence. Scott if you read this, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your words and your book. I read it in one day, but I keep reading it over and over again. It's a must read for everyone to learn about how AIDS affects people. And the fact of the matter is that AIDS affects all people, whether you are positive or negative. Read this book and give it to all of your friends! I am only allowed to give it 5 stars in rating, but it's way off the charts! Thank you Scott for everything!

Scott Fried...a real person

Scott Fried is not only an amazing person, but a real person. By this I mean, I have met Scott, at a lecture of his in Boston. I have read multiple books about AIDS and the HIV virus but being able to associate a face with the name helps so much. Scott is living proof that you can live with AIDS. His book, If I Grow Up: Talking with Teens About AIDS, Love & Staying Alive is one which I will continue to read multiple times. This is because it has real people who I can associate with, because they are closer to me in age, even though I don't have AIDS. I like this novel and reccomend it to any person living in a world where there is a sickness called AIDS, meaning everyone.

A must read for every parent and every teenager!

This book encompasses not only the thoughts of the author who must live each day with HIV, but also with the thoughts of teens who contemplate what that kind of life is. By the author merging his views with those with whom he has spoken, the reader feels part of a living room conversation (albeit some of the conversations take place out on a lake in a row boat!). The insights shared are vital for parents of teenagers as well as for those teenagers who hope to one day become parents.

Best book for teenagers on AIDS

I am a high school sophomore and have read many books and articles on AIDS, most of which aren't very memorable. But this book is different. This book inspired me to think about my life and how to value each day. Mr. Fried has found a way to give each teenager a voice. Including me! I think it can save lives.
