This book was so exciting, as well as providing new knowledge of my heritage,that it motivated me to find the previous book by this author, TheTenth Measure, which tells the story of the Jewish nation up to thefall of Massada. The stories were so overwhelming that I felt I hadto go to Massada and see for myself the conditions that they lived under. Fortunately, I live only an hour from Massada so I went thereduring Chanukah, climbed up and down the "Snake Path" and felt a littlecloser to the brave people of that time.
