Amazing Book

This is the story about the first woman doctor in India, Ida Scudder. At a young age, her parents were missionaries in India, and she hated it. Later on, she was sent to a school in America, and she never wanted to set foot on India again. For a certain reason, she has to go back to India when she is grown. While she's there, writing a letter in her room in India, someone knocks on the door. The man says his wife is about to have a baby, and they need a doctor (Her father was a doctor). She tells him that she'll get a doctor, but he says that it can't be a man doctor touching his wife. She tells him she's not a doctor and he leaves. This happens again, only with a different man. The next morning she finds out both the women died from child birth. Ida soon realizes she's needed in India, and that's the start of her great adventure. Her life is filled with all kinds of things, and you won't regret buying it.
