I received this book as a gift from a great friend, along with an ice cream maker - my first, so I was a bit intimidated. Tee's book was welcoming and full of interesting and helpful tips in the ice cream making process, which abated my fears. The book is published in the UK, so has some interesting British twists (like Brown Bread ice cream) and other non-American recipes (including Indian Kulfi or Zabaglione Semifreddo). There are egg-based and non egg-based recipes, classic chocolate chip and vanilla ice creams, as well as terrines, ices, sherbets and even some flashy molded ice cream presentations. She gets creative with green tea, red currents and fruit. I have made a couple recipes already (pistachio gelato and cappucino ice cream) and loved them. Her recipes include instructions with or without an ice cream maker. Each recipe has a beautiful accompanying photo. After reading many other ice cream cookbook reviews, I highly recommended this one.
