My kids (and I!) think this book is hilarious.

Gerald is tired. And cranky. So he decides he needs a nap. Unfortunately rest seems hard to come by. I can relate 😂. The more expressive and dramatic you are reading this one the funnier it is.

humourless

I dislike this book because it is humourless and it also makes me compare myself to others.

easy to read but not his best work

The story is rather unimpressive, but its catchy for kids. He has done better.

Might convince your child to nap...

I love the pro-nap messaging, but sadly my 6yo doesn't appreciate it as much. Even though, like Gerald, some days she is really cranky and needs that nap. Maybe younger kids would enjoy it more. Overall a cute story - Gerald takes a nap, but dreams that Piggie's snoring wakes him up. It gets a little odd at the end. Gerald realizes he is dreaming and Piggie's head turns into a turnip. Again, maybe more funny to little kids?
