A new favorite!

We recently received this book as a gift and it has quickly become a family favorite. Our soon to be 3-year-old son likes it "lots and lots and lots" and will read it to himself over and over and over. The illustrations are darling and the text is so cute and humorous. We will add The Silly Book to our list and look forward to reading more of Stoo!

I Love This Book: Lots and Lots and Lots

My son and I love this child's book. It's rare to find one so cheery and clever that young and old ( well, older) can enjoy equally. This is one of those perfect kids' reads for that reason. I don't tire of reading it and my son actually gets a kick out of the fun places one can be kissed. (Might I add it's also hard to read about kissing to a boy sans 'yuck' factor.)

What could be better than kisses?

My 4-year old son who loves knights and super heroes still makes time every day for "I Will Kiss You." What could be better than special time with mom and dad, knowing you will get lots of kisses? Stoo Hample's fabulous illustrations and rhymes are perfect for kids of all ages. I plan to stockpile copies of this book to give out as gifts. My son even lets his 7-year-old sister read it to him (and give him kisses).

If only . . .

If only I were a bit older and more experienced--and living in Boston--and working as an editor at Candlewick a few years ago--this book could have been mine to thrust upon the deserving public! I so wish that I could tie my name to this great book and say that in some way I was responsible for it. Alas, I can say only that I am a fan--a huge fan--of Stoo Hample and his work. "I Will Kiss You" is a joy. I am always especially tickled when an illustrator gives the reader something extra to watch for--in this case, it's the bunny child's stuffed animals, which follow him and his mother throughout their day, and add their own degree of humor and warmth to this already winning book. Distinction is in the details, and Stoo deserves mounds of kudos for this one.

Stoo Hample has done it again

This is one of our favorites. We have read Stoo Hamples other books and love them. This one is great to share with a small child and the illustrations are so wonderful. A great follow up to his classic 'Silly Book' (another must read). A great valentine's present. As a parent, I love this book as much as my 5 year-old son does!!
