All the projects in this book - from new curtains to new furniture for your cool new habitat - can be completed by teens on the cheap. How can your mom complain when your room makeover comes so inexpensively? Heavily illustrated by Azadeh Houshyar with fun and kitschy drawings, the projects are mostly fast and easy. Each one lists all the elements needed so you can be prepared before you start and many of them can be accomplished with items you have lying around the house (for instance, there's the pillow made out of a t-shirt). All of the projects are fun, heavy on style, and can be individually modified to capture your own style and spirit. Now, why wasn't this out when I was a teen? Shoot - scratch that - I can use some of the ideas now! Recommended for teens looking to spice up their surroundings in an affordable and fun way. Targeted mainly toward girls, boys could even find some projects they might like to do (they just might not advertise it).
