Short, Sweet, And To The Point

I Still Do by C.M. Jones shares the story of best friends Karen, Deborah, and Leslie. They have been friends since grade school in Baltimore. Deborah appears to have the perfect life. She has been married for ten years and is a partner at her law firm. Karen is divorced with twin girls. She realizes that her life was based around her ex-husband and now she is trying to find herself. Leslie has her own child psychology practice and is raising her son as a single mother after the father decided that he wanted a DNA test. Deborah moved away to Boston and comes home for Christmas every year. The friends reunite for a Christmas that will never be forgotten. Jones touches on divorce, dating married men, infidelity, forgiveness, and reconciliation in this novella. It is short, sweet, and to the point. She was able to develop a plot for each woman that had its own share of drama and entertainment. The great detail to material items was unnecessary but it did not take away much from the fact that it was a great story. Readers will enjoy this one.
