Book Overview

A book about a butterfly's metamorphosis from the butterfly's point of view. I really enjoyed the book as a child and remember it still. This description may be from another edition of this product.

I, Monty

I loved this book. Initially, it was given to me in 1983 after the loss of my son to help me deal with my grief. I think it is just a wonderful book and I like to share it with others after their loss. It is a simple story about a butterfly.

This book was one of the most inspiring books I read in College.

I did one of my main term papers on this book. I was an English Major and this was the book that touched my soul, being inspired by the pure hearts of the children in the class that wrote it with the author, Bach. I have not found this book since, because I forgot the author was Bach, not Lucado. Go figure that an English major would forget that! I happened upon it in the Campus Bookstore at the Christian Colllege where I attended. I think I did fairly well because I got positive comments from the hardest Professor on the face of the planet. (God rest his soul) I would heartily suggest this book to anyone who is searching for the 'door' between life and death and Spiritual life and death. It can't help but prick one's heart, and the artwork is FAB. God bless. Crissa.

I, Monty is a treasure!

When I first selected this book from the bookshelf I thought it was a misplaced child's book. As I began to peruse it I became captivated by the story and wonderful pictures. It is a book on 'life cycles' suited to any age. A classroom of children follow the process of metamorphosis by watching a caterpillar in a jar. The excusite butterfly who appears is really you and me. The rightness of freedom vs. the selfish desire of ownership. I have purchased this book 3 times and tried to keep it for myself, yet it always ends up being a 'gift' to another in need. Ironically, I have never given it to a child! This book communicates far more than the words of the story actually say. This book is a treasure.
