When he loses his tooth, a little puppy comes up with a clever way of letting the tooth fairy know! Text copyright 2004 Lectorum Publications, Inc. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Loosing a tooth, in particular, the first tooth, is quite a big deal for the little ones. Even I, now slowly sinking into my dotage, can remember that event in my life quite clearly. It is both exciting and, to a certain extent, traumatic. This little book is helpful. It uses a puppy and more or less projects the anxiety and excitement from the child to the dog. Most kids can identify with their pet dog and feel comfortable in doing so. The author has used some very nice watercolors here which are well executed and quite eye cathing in a soothing way. This is a wonderful book to read to and with your child as they approach the first tooth loss time of their life. It is also a very good read to a class full of this age children. A quick read of this one can bring on well over an hour of discussion with the kids as they tell their personal stories. Recommend this one highly.
