I Chose You Is A Story Of Hope And Knowing Your Special to Someone

I Chose You is a children's book written by Lindsey Shumway. It is very inspiring to read and it's message is applicable to a child whether they be your own or adopted. Heavenly Father takes one on a journey lead to a room of precious children with all very unique abilities and talents and Father in Heaven asks you to choose one of them to be your child. It is very hard to choose one special one as they all are special in their own unique way but after some time trying to decide I chose You became the special one. It is a wonderful book written by Lindsey Shumway. It is her first book she has written but hopefully she will write some more inspiring stories to be read by children or adults. The artwork is beautiful and lifelike done by Amy Hintze. Her children are so lifelike as the story is lifelike. I highly recommend this book to be read over and over to yourself or your special child in your life.

I Chose You is an endearing picturebook. Told from the point of view of a parent, the story begins, "One day in heaven a long time ago, Heavenly Father led me by the hand into a big room filled with children. He told me that today was a special day; it was the day I got to pick out my very own child." The story and inviting illustrations show all sorts of boys and girls, each with different likes and dislikes, from math and painting to football, camping, computers and video games. And out of the long line of wonderful possibilities, "I looked at every one of those children. And I chose you." The soft color illustrations reinforce the inviting message of the parent-child bond.

My daughter is just starting to read. She LOVED this book. She wanted to read it over and over. She especially liked the pictures. As she saw the pictures of children doing things, she kept pointing out things that she likes to do. The ending made her smile.
