one of my favorite drawing books

This is a great drawing book for beginners of all ages. There are quite a few books on drawing that I didn't feel broke down the image in small enough steps that the outline could be made easily. I think this book does a wonderful job of showing people how to use very simple shapes to make a nice variety of animal outlines. The book is bright and colorful with lots of photos to go with the line drawings. There is a list of items to help get started and a nice explanation of shading but only one drawing shows the use of color. Nice examples of ears, eyes, mouths, feet, and fur to help with the details of the animals. Charming close-ups and drawings are included. Nice to have for very beginners or those who convinced themselves they were not artistic.
