So sweet

We received this book as a gift from my mother-in-law when our son was a newborn. We have said it almost every night to him for the past year and a half. My husband and I both have it memorized. Such a sweet good-night book that incorporates God and his love for us.

Get it!

You know how some toddlers have security blankets or animals? Well, our little girl has a security book and this one is it! From about 6-14 months, we read "God Gave Us You" at bedtime and she seemed to really like it. Then, after the first night of reading this book, she wants no other! It's the first thing she reaches for in the morning and in the afternoon when she wants her down-time. We can tell she really likes the pictures and there are just the right amount of words on the page so she doesn't get impatient to turn them before I'm through. On those nights when she is particularly tired, she lets me know to skip over the pages that have animals and just finish with the pages of the baby. It is about 4 months since we have been reading this well-made book and I actually need to replace it already! Thank you, Thrivent!
