No one like Capon

I read this book 20 years ago, and it is probably at least 60% of why I am a Christian today--and maybe 70% of why I am an Anglican priest today. Capon can write, I mean really WRITE. He understands the modern mind, and he understands how to communicate with it and to open it to possibilites in ways that more traditional theologians are simply clueless about. He's clever, funny, warm, waspish, demanding, clear, bright, witty, honest, open, caring--in short, about the best company you can find between two covers.
