Lindsay McKenna HUNTER’S PRIDE is book three of Morgan's Mercenaries: The Hunter's Series. It is a fast paced action packed novel that will have you biting your nails and keep you glued to the edge of your seat waiting to see how it ends. Devlin Hunter, his mission is to stop an international terrorist group in dropping anthrax over a major city. This assignment it will require him to seek out an Ex-Mercenary, Kulani Dawson, whose inside knowledge is crucial to his mission. Confident in his looks and charm he sees Kulani as an easy target from which to gain the information he needs. His first encounter with Kulani leaves him stunned, before him stands a woman warrior capable of taming his loner heart. When a tragic climbing accident results in the loss of her fiancé, Kulani Dawson abruptly quits her duties as a Mercenary and returns to her hometown - Kauai, Hawaii. She rebuilds her shattered life by running a touring agency. On one of her tours she becomes drawn to one man, Devlin Hunter. She is later devastated to learn his motives in seeking her service. She knows she is Devlin’s only hope in completing this mission and coming out of it alive. Will she be able to set aside past fears to help the one man who holds her heart? Lindsay McKenna’s Mercenaries books remind me of mini James Bond movies. They provide you with so much action and intrigue, it will leave you craving for more. As an added bonus each one in the series can be read as a stand-alone novel. As a former Geology student, her description of the Hawaiian volcanoes was breath taking. She really has done all of her homework and went all out on research for this book.

A book to love and savor...a keeper

I just finished this book, and I have to say, it is one of Ms. McKenna's best. The hero and heroine and their respective situations touched me deeply, and it's been a while since I have been this moved by the power of a love story, as I was with this one. Definitely a must buy, and a keeper.

HUNTER'S PRIDE is an action-packed story that will keep you on the edge of your seat while chewing your nails. Devon and Kulani are a fantastic couple easy to love. Read it and find out for yourself.

Totally loved the book. Is up to Lindsay's usual Excellence

O.K. fellow romance readers gear up for one extraordinary read from Lindsay McKenna. In Hunter's Pride,if there is one thing this man doesn't lack is PRIDE in himself and his mercenary talents.Except this extraordinary man just wants to be needed like everyone else. The emotional upheaval that Dev and Kulani wrestle with in this story caused me to grieve along with them. I just totally loved this story and thoroughly enjoyed the repartee between Dev and Kulani. The way that Kulani helped Dev to heal as he helped her to heal with tenderness and compassion, brought a mist to my eyes and a glow to my heart. Kuaui sounds like a true Garden of Eden paradise to be enjoyed a little at a time. Thoroughly enjoyed Lindsay's description of the Hawaiian culture and about the homeopathic medicines. This series is fanstastic and January, 2000, can't come soon enough for me. Shep's story will definitely be another 5 star book to add to my list. Enjoy!!!!!!!!

An excellent continuation of Morgan's Mercenaries

Lindsey McKenna has done it again!!! Hunter's Pride is full of strong emotion that allows you to become involved with the two main characters - Kulani and Dev. The unexpected, yet totally believable, events keep you on the edge as the world around Kulani and Dev changes. You just want to finish the book to see what will happen. Ms. McKenna's research into the background of climbing and the topography is outstanding. Her description of the Hawaiian island transports you to Kaui. I can't wait to read the next book in Morgan's Mercenaries - it's coming soon! It is about Dev's brother, Shep. Happy reading!
