"Excellent articles and introductory commentary on the theory and practice of human rights and the remedies of wrongs."--David Carliner, Journal of Human Rights This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book of essays is a very good eye opener to anyone who is just recently delving into the world of Human Rights or for anyone who needs more information on this broad and sensitive topic. It goes as far as looking at the legal side that is involved in Human Rights and names many examples of cases that we all may be familiar with while also opening up with new cases that are still in progress. I am using it for my college Intro to Human Rights class and it provides for amazing discussion and the questions at the end of the each essay get the mind going and get you thinking more in depth about the topics that had been covered in each essay. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone. From students in Human Rights, to instructors, all the way to someone who just wants to learn a little more about the world they live in.
