When one of the Hulk's oldest cast members is murdered, everyone turns to the team of Iron Man, She-Hulk, and The Mighty Thor to solve the grizzly case. All the evidence points to the Hulk as the killer
I'm a little confused by all of these downer reviews. I actually really liked this. I don't read Hulk regularly or anything, but I love Jeph Loeb and this storyline intrigued me. I found it really interesting. I loved the art and really enjoyed the characters and dialogue. I think this is a very solid Hulk book. I'm now waiting, impatiently, for the next volume to arrive in the mail! I say give it a shot. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
Interesting idea

I really like this storyline. It is very interesting and I can't wait to find out who the Rulk is and who is behind him.
what a hulk book should be

Red Hulk was a blast. One of my biggest complaints about today's comics is that they try to be too cerebral, they try too hard to be adult entertainment, worthy as art etc, but in the process (for me at least) loose all the fun and excitement that brought a lot of us to comics in the first place. I bought this book because I wanted a Hulk fix; something with crazy-fun action reminiscent of Kirby/Lee... this book delivered. If you're into Vertigo books, if you're into complicated (convoluted? Pretentious?) storylines, you probably wont like this book. If you love superheroes, TONS of action, and great art, then I think you will.

Just picking up this book and flipping through it, is amazing. The pages are thick and glossy. The artwork by Ed McGuinness is colorful and vibrant. The story is Jeph Loeb at his most fun. Who is the Red Hulk? What is going on with Rick Jones? Is that cosmic peeping tom, the Watcher, ever going to get what's coming to him? All of these questions are answered in the book! Excelsior!
