Perfect for simple definitions. Great for pronounciations. Nice size.

I have several German dictionaries but since I bought this one its the one I reach for, typically when I just need a simple definition and especially when I need an accurate pronounciation. The entries are trimmed to the minimum and usually only fill one line of text on the small page. This actually makes it simpler for look ups and for simple browsing. A German word entry is limited to: 1) the word 2) its pronounciation (using Hugos style, no strange characters) 3) one letter gender designation for nouns, or verb, adj, adv. 4) typically several one word equivalents for the definition Thats all. Example: Heuschrecke, hoy-shreck-e, f., grasshopper You get the idea. Very simple. I especially like the simplified pronounciation system.
