"Hue and Cry" is a dramatization of the prosecution in 1807 of Aaron Burr for treason, at which U.S. Chief Justice John Marshall presided. This event was for the 1800's the "Trial of the Century," equivalent in notoriety to the Lindbergh baby kidnapping trial a century later.
