Amazing

We stayed in Hudson Valley and stopped at Gigi's Marketplace and then at the restaurant. Since then we've cooked three recipes (so far!) that have been amazing! Th pea soup is wonderful and we were thrown back to our vacation in Tuscany when we had the gnocchi with ragu. It was BEYOND exceptional. Simple, beautiful flavors with wonderful ingredients. This is how we all should cook. Your family will love it. Its also conveniently organized by season so you can buy the freshest ingredients and make these dishes during each season which is nothing short of genius.

Excellent addition to your cookbook shelf

As the owner of an extremely popular Italian restaurant in New York's Hudson Valley and a registered dietitian, Laura Pensiero's emphasis on healthy, delicious food really shines in this book. Her recipes are very clear and easy to follow and taste almost as good as the food at Gigi's restaurant. The book is organized by season and emphasizes using food from local farmer's markets wherever possible, for the freshest taste.
