Don't know how accurate this series is, but it sure does captivate the children!

My grandsons 7,9 and 11 thoroughly enjoyed this book which gives all sorts of *realistic* details that boys love ( bugs, dirt, toilets, violence and hardship) The 7 year old got Viking books out of the school library after I gave them this book. It stimulated his interest. In the *DK model* of lots of information and illustrations on each page, it takes time to go through and absorb. They liked it and want more in the series.
