A Lasting Contribution To the History of Spaceflight.

This is an excellent book recounting the true story of the Von Braun team and the origins of the U.S. space program. The "German" contribution was crucial and america would never have made it to the moon without it.("...Before this decade is out...") The same can be said about the Russian space program, the soviets hired many german rocket scientists but unlike the United States they sent them back to Germany once their knowledge had been acquired. The "rocket team" was not a bunch of nazis or war criminals, but a group of dedicated men who played an essential role in the conquest of space. I warmly recommend this book, every "honest man" should read it.
