Mark Lee's How to Set Goals and Really Reach Them, Goal Setting from a Christian Perspective
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 14 years ago
Mark Lee was President at Simmmons College in California and a college teacher at other institutions as well. He outlines 10 chapters on Goals in this short little inspiring read. He is definitely Christian, uses Biblical quotes to inspire the reader, and addresses uniquely Christian objections to goal setting. While this is written to a Christian audience, it certainly could be read and useful to many others as well. The first chapter alone refers to a remarkable man's life and list of Life Goals that he was well on the road to achieving and it was profiled in LIFE magazine. Interestingly enough I had made a similar list inspired by the first Chicken Soup for the Soul book en route back from having visited Auschwitz. We all need to create such a list for our lives - Christian and non-Christian alike. Since there is no "LOOK INSIDE" for this older out of print book, I will provide you with the Table of Contents chapter list so you can best determine if you want to dig up a used copy to purchase for your Time Management library. 1. Goals: Gateway to your future 2. Get Ready, Get Set, Aim! 3. Determine Your Future 4. Objections Overruled 5. Where Do Goals Come From? 6. Setting Goals - The Wrong Way 7. Setting Goals - The Right Way 8. Achieving Personal Goals 9. Achieving Professional Goals 10. Why Does Goal-Setting Work? For Christians especially, I highly recommend this time management Biblical approach to Goal setting.
