The Very Best For Beginners Text, Next To Marx For Beginners

Marxism is a theory of revolution, a method of analysis struggling to grasp why things are as they are in order to understand not only what must be, but what might be. Today in the US, and perhaps elsewhere, even the Communist Manifesto can be daunting for beginners. While I do not share the author's view, at the end of the day, this is nevertheless one of two texts that I have found that assists people in coming to grips with Marx's project and, importantly, helps them understand who they are in relation to others and, then, what they might do. The other text, Marx For Beginners, is also especially inviting. Of course, the presence of a social movement for equality and justice would be more helpful still! Absent that, abstraction.
