Horrible Don't Read

Excellent Primer

This book is an excellent primer to learn the world of finances. It gives quite a bit of first timer information, and details where to learn more about almost any subject. Highly recommended if you are in need of serious beginner information like I was. If you consider yourself relatively knowledgeable, you might want to skip this one.

Worth Every Penny!

Excellent read! Very informative. I read the last edition and found this to be updated. I've read several books on investing and found this to be comprehensive because it provides specific resources & websites for ease in finding additional info on areas of interest. It really will give you a jumpstart in how you can start saving and investing wisely without paying high fees. Provides investment alternatives for people with smaller funds to get a rate of return similar to those people who can invest thouosands at a time. Easy to understand and apply these concepts.

How to keep more of your money

The book is a list of habits more than a list of hype. And enough habits spanned over time, you get a fairly cheap but well off person. Might not be your persona, but this is the strength of the book. A very good read and entertaining. Excellent tool for true beginners

Fresh out of college with my first "real" job, I went in search of a book aimed at someone with absolutely no investment experience or education. This book has served my purposes perfectly. Aimed at the small investor, this book helps you create a portfolio appropriate to your financial needs, with the result that you are able to start planning for the future without getting in over your head. Easy to read, written in layman's terms with explanations of the basic investment jargon. If your looking to take responsibility for your finacial future, but don't necessarily want to be immersed in Wall Street, this book is for you.

Good for true beginners

Great for people who really are just getting started in investing. Teaches about terms and techniques. What the purpose of investing and the different types of investing you are able to participate. Also nicely weighs pros and cons.
