Must-Read

I'm still an undergrad and found this to be a wonderful resource. IMHO though, it's especially helpful if you're still in college, mainly b/c it makes you realize how hard you'll have to work if your goal is to enter Harvard law. However the 50 interviews (very candid and honest) leave you w/the impression that for these ex-candidates, all the hard work was well worth it. They seem satisfied, happy, and proud w/the outcome as well they should be. No matter where you come from, what your race is, or your socio-economic status, you are sure to find a few profiles you can relate to. Huge thanks to the author, as well as the Harvard faculty, staff, students & alumni who cooperated. A+++ !!!!

Worth it for the essays

Although I wasn't interested in what the author had to say, I did find the selection of actual student application essays fascinating. They influenced me greatly when I completed my application essay and I would recommend the book as a means of opening up the minds of potential law students before they begin the application process.

A must read for any aspiring law student

This is an excellent resource for anyone who is considering applying to law school. In addition to providing practical guidance regarding admission, the book is a useful reality check, for purposes of assessing a potential applicant's chances of getting into the top schools and assessing an applicant's reasons for going to law school in the first place. I highly recommend this book.

Helpful, but the numbers are scary

This book contains some insider advice for admission, but the stats of the students can be a little daunting for those of us that don't quite seem to meet the GPA and LSAT scores of the interviwed students. The personal essays are interesting and thought provoking, which helped me to better understand what law schools are looking for in an essay.

THE BEST BOOK AVAILABLE FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN LAW SCHOOL

Willie J. Epps writes a book worthy of a Harvard Law Graduate. Few books wrap up the difficult process of law school admission much less Harvard Law School Admission in an understandable. and interesting form. Epps has conversations with the HLS dean of admissions and successful Harvard Law candidates. This books also includes the results of a survey containing the undergraduate and pre-law school history of 50 law school students. The book shouldn't be pegged as exclusively for Harvard Law School applicants; similar methods are used at most top law schools. This one is a page turner!
