Donald Graves is the master craftsman of writing instruction

In this book, Donald Graves gives us meaninful slices of memoir as a springboard for our own writing. All writing teachers MUST write, and Graves helps those of us who are a bit reluctant. I shared these stories with my 6th graders, and then we wrote together. The memoir-style writing we produced was phenomenal! This book is more than theory; it's a blueprint to lasting literacy.
